Invitation to Join the DDoS Resiliency Scoring Community
The DRS (DDoS Resiliency Score) Board wishes to extend an invitation for you and/or your organization to join the user community that guides and educates those responsible for tackling the spread of DDoS attacks across the world.
Membership is open to those responsible for protecting their organisation and its networks/services, or those working for a computer security vendor, or academic research capacity.
Currently, there are no membership fees and we are not seeking ‘corporate’ sponsorship. Organizational membership would entitle two of your staff to be present at user meetings.
We may grant speaking slots to you or your organization for approved topics presented with a technical (rather than marketing) bias on your approach, deployment, technology, research, or mitigation techniques. You may include discussion of deployment scenarios where the end organization is not explicitly named.
These slots will be of 15-20 minute duration and should include slides. There will be a period of 5 minutes for follow-up technical questions. You can provide a redacted subset of these slides to be distributed to attendees and for inclusion on the DRS website.
We are intending to initially hold no more than three meetings a year, by web conferencing in the first instance due to the worldwide audience. This audience may include technical staff from research, vendor, and end-user communities, which by their nature will tend to be larger and often multi-national organizations or NGOs, such as Internet Exchange Points (IXPs).
Vendor organizations will be permitted to use a specialised variant of the logo on your website, and with prior approval, on your data sheets, provided that these do not include any wording that suggests you are ‘approved’ by the DRS Board.
As the user base expands we may hold physical meetings and we will give consideration for vendors to have a physical stand at such meetings, with additional staff manning those booths. If you would like to express an interest, please contact [email protected] and the DRS Board will provide further details.
